Once installed, the editor may not appear if you've configured your website to use another editor by default.
To change this, go to ‘Global Configuration’ menu item. Next, select the ‘Site’ tab, change the ‘Default Editor’ parameter to ‘ARKEditor’ and click the ‘Save' icon in the top right corner. This will configure Joomla to use the editor as default.

Also, if one of your users has configured their user account to use a different editor, you may not be able to view the Ark Editor, this is because a user's setting overrides the globe default Editors setting. You can change this, navigate to ‘Users’ > ‘User Manager’ and selecting the account ‘Name’ you wish to edit.
Click on the 'Basic Settings' tab and change the ‘Editor’ parameters to use 'default' or the 'ARKEditor'.
