Layout Manager

Introduction

The ARK Editor Layout Manager improves upon JCK Editor and JCE by allowing user permissions to be set on the plugin level, making it more flexible and in line with Joomla’s logic. With ARK Editor, only one toolbar is needed to set up user permissions for multiple user groups. To learn more, see Plugin permissions.

Layout Manager

The Layout Manager allows control over the editor's Toolbars; with it you can create your bespoke toolbars, position plugins, create new toolbars, add and remove! It’s easy to do thanks to its drag-and-drop interface.

First, click on the ‘Layout Manager' button, which will lead to the 'Layout Manager' screen.

Click "Edit" under the layout you want to edit

This will open up, allowing you to drag and drop your toolbars and icons to craft your bespoke layouts.

There are also customisable options for the toolbar header. These options are found under the 'Header' tab:
