How to Share Your Mobile Screen on a Zoom Call

For iOS Devices:

  1. Start or Join a Zoom Meeting: Open the Zoom app and either start or join a meeting.
  2. Access Screen Sharing: Tap on the "Share Content" button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Screen: Tap "Screen" from the options presented.
  4. Start Broadcast: A pop-up will appear. Tap "Start Broadcast." You might need to enable "Screen Recording" if you haven't done so before. To do this, go to your iOS device’s "Settings" > "Control Centre" > "Customise Controls," and add "Screen Recording" to your Control Centre.
  5. Confirm Sharing: You will see a countdown, and then your screen will start sharing. A red bar at the top of your screen indicates that your screen is being shared.
  6. Stop Sharing: To stop sharing, tap the red bar at the top and select "Stop."

For Android Devices:

  1. Start or Join a Zoom Meeting: Open the Zoom app and either start or join a meeting.
  2. Access Screen Sharing: Tap on the "Share" button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Screen: Tap "Screen" from the options.
  4. Start Sharing: A pop-up will appear asking if you want Zoom to capture everything that’s displayed on your screen. Tap "Start Now."
  5. Stop Sharing: To stop sharing, tap the red "Stop Share" button at the bottom of your screen.

Additional Tips:

  • Ensure Good Network Connection: A stable internet connection is crucial for smooth screen sharing.
  • Close Unnecessary Apps: To improve performance and maintain privacy, close apps that are not needed during the meeting.
  • Mute Notifications: Consider enabling "Do Not Disturb" mode to avoid interruptions from notifications while you are sharing your screen.
